PalDome is operated by PalExperts LLC ("we," "our," or "the extension"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Chrome extension for parental controls.
We don’t collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Everything stays on your device. We have no servers, no databases, and no way to access your information.
The extension stores the following information only on your computer using Chrome’s local storage:
Important: This data never leaves your device unless you manually export it using the backup feature.
If you choose to enable Google Safe Browsing integration: only the URLs being visited are sent to Google for verification. This feature is optional and disabled by default. Google’s use of data is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
Subscription payments are processed by Paddle. We never see or store your credit card information. Payment data is handled entirely by Paddle, subject to Paddle’s Privacy Policy.
All sensitive data is encrypted in Chrome’s local storage. Admin passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with 200,000 iterations and a random 16-byte salt. Even if someone gains access to your Chrome storage files, they cannot retrieve your password, access settings without the password, or modify blocking rules without authentication.
PalDome is designed for parents/guardians to monitor children’s browsing activity. It should be used by adults (18+) with parental/guardian authority. The extension may log which sites children attempt to visit (stored locally only). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA). Parents are responsible for reviewing activity logs and managing settings.
You have complete control: access all stored data through extension settings; export settings and logs as JSON; delete data by clearing items or uninstalling; modify settings, rules, or passwords at any time.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date and announced in extension update notes for material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
PalDome can be used worldwide. All data processing happens locally on your device. No data crosses international borders except for the optional Google Safe Browsing API. You are responsible for complying with local laws regarding parental monitoring.
